Cat Carriers and
Strollers
Cat carriers and strollers have been a big
reason that so many more Americans have taken up the new
hobby of cat walking. Now, that may sound like something
high paid super models do, but I'm talking about the real
deal - taking your cat out for a walk.
If you're like most people, you've never
tried it. In fact, until cat carriers and strollers got
popular, hardly anyone ever took their cat for a walk. And if
you've ever tried to hook up a cat to a leash and control it,
you know what that's like.
In fact, if we're going to be completely
honest, we have to admit that this new hobby of "cat walking"
doesn't really involve a cat doing any walking. It's the human
being who does the walking, while the kitty comes along for the
ride.
Which is just fine.
Most cats are pretty frisky, and they get
plenty of exercise during the day, all by themselves. But just
because you cat won't actually be doing any walking, don't
think that means your cat doesn't want to go out on walks with
you.
All cats love to explore their
neighborhoods. It's instinctive. Wanting to get out of the
house and check out the big world out there is just a part of
being a cat - it's built into their system. Unfortunately, many
cats follow their urges, but never return home, for various
reasons. That's the last thing that any of us wants for our
cat.
And when we take them for walks in cat
carriers and strollers we don't have to worry about that.
They're strapped in, so they can't run off on a wild mouse
chase. They can't get run over by a car. They can't climb a
tree and then find themselves too scared to climb down.
So they're protected, but they still get to
indulge their curious side. They can see the world without
hurting themselves. Once you've got a cat stroller, your cat
can still be a cat, while you can still keep your peace of
mind.
